Her playful and detailed prints, alongside her larger scale installation came together to present a full theatre set style work.

Taking elements from intuitive mark making and natural forms , her work incorporates a variety of print making techniques that give way to pieces of art that make you want to take a closer look and get lost in them. The works are abstract but contain figurative elements that draw you into the scene and allow you to try and decipher what is going on within. She is often inspired by everyday objects, whether it be a luggage strap or marks on a studio window. By taking these elements and experimenting with their textures and colours she bring them into a new dimension. The print making process is one which manages to capture so much texture, despite the works being on a flat surface.

The marks you seen are often reminiscent of those made in childhood when you are first experimenting with mark making. These works are not as simple as they look though, with them having gone through an intricate print making process.

Rosie is at a very exciting time in her career, recently graduated and with an incredible curiosity for her practice, she continues to push the boundary of how every day items and patterns can be re-contextualised into fine art.
